Martial Arts Programs

The earlier students are introduced to Taekwondo, the better! Martial arts improve the quality of young children’s lives and teach them valuable life skills that they can practice at home, in school, and with friends. We focus on teaching our youngest students teamwork, control, discipline, coordination, balance, memory, and our “stranger danger” curriculum – all while having fun in a safe environment! Our Lil’ Dragons Program will introduce your child to the basic principles of martial arts and help prepare them for kindergarten and elementary school.

Between social media, peer pressure, and the demands of school, kids today have a lot of distractions. Taekwondo is the perfect activity for your student, providing benefits that go far beyond the dojo. Martial arts help kids gain confidence, learn discipline, focus their energy, foster respect for others, and be a part of a one-of-a-kind community full of future friends and mentors!

While there are many ways to work out, we can promise you one thing – you’ll have a lot more fun practicing Taekwondo than you will running on the treadmill. At Dover Dragons, we believe that Taekwondo is life-changing for people of all ages and backgrounds. In our Adults Program, we teach students traditional Taekwondo while focusing on improving their fitness, building their confidence, imparting discipline, and training them in self-defense.

The Dover Dragons competition team attends a variety of national competitions, including the AAU tournament. Not only will you be given the opportunity to receive national recognition and represent Dover Dragons, but you’ll become a part of a tight-knit team that is just as passionate about Taekwondo as you are.

If your child loves martial arts, why not have a martial arts-themed birthday? Lucky for you, Dover Dragons offers birthday parties nearly every weekend of the year. We’ll play martial arts games, break boards, and guests will all receive a free introductory class. If you’re the birthday kid you’ll get to cut your cake with a ninja sword, receive a brand new Taekwondo uniform, and get three free classes. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
